Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation (President: Park, Dae-Moon) held the “2004 Symposium of Waste Management and Disposal Technology” at the Promotion Hall of its new building on November 26.
This symposium is the first academic symposium managed by the Landfill Technology Research Center of Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation, and sponsored by the Ministry of Environment and Korea Society of Waste Management. About 300 people participated in the symposium, including the public officials in charge of waste management at municipal governments across the nation, and professionals from academia and industry.
The Corporation declared the topic of the symposium as “Operation and Management of Sustainable Waste Landfill Sites”. In the morning, the topic was announced and discussed, and in the afternoon, 29 theses were presented in two sessions, which were “Waste Landfill, Waste Water Treatment, and Making Landfill Gas into Resources” and “Making Waste into Resources”.
This symposium was a great opportunity for Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation to develop into one of the world’s best professional institutions in its field, in terms of its technology as well as its size.
